This month on Hip Homeschool Moms I am sharing our first year of homeschooling. After spending a good 6 years in the public school system it took time to become homeschoolers. We learned many things. Made way too many mistakes. But the end result found us at home, with our kids, learning.
Our journey began in June 2010. Before that day we were the average American family living in suburbia. Every morning, after dad went to work, momma would walk the kids up the hill to the bus stop. I’d wave good-bye and my heart would ache as the yellow bus rolled away with my babies. We didn’t know any other way — we told ourselves. We had no choice — we thought.
