This weekend we took our little home on wheels to our favorite spot: The Oregon Coast! When we decided to travel full-time we purchased a membership in Resort Parks International (RPI). Although we found it to not be *THAT* useful while we traveled, it has been an amazing blessing being stationary. Our home resort, Neskowin Creek RV Resort, is one of the nicest RPI parks in Oregon. It’s nothing FANCY. And that’s what makes it so nice. It’s located close to Lincoln City and our friends, it’s located close to Pacific City (a fun hangout place) AND it’s VERY close to Neskowin Beach.
Neskowin is located along Highway 101 just a bit before Lincoln City, Oregon. The small town includes a general store, a restaurant and two golf courses. Dotted among the trees are cottages and the Neskowin State Beach. We always park in the small parking lot near the general store. The entrance to the park winds alongside a little creek. Around the bend you can see Proposal Rock, a picturesque island.
When we arrived on Friday afternoon fog had settled on the region. We took Tippi and went for a walk alone. It was actually quite pleasant and peaceful. I enjoyed taking pictures of the trees peeking through the fog while the husband and Tippi played along the edge of the rock.
Tippi was a happy girl. She had a beach to herself with no dogs (she doesn’t like dogs) and a stick. At one point she almost took my legs out with her big stick!
And of course. There were waves. Lots of waves.
And I even managed to see a bird. Because one cannot have too many bird pictures when they visit the Oregon Coast.
I love the coast. I’m beginning to REALLY love Neskowin Beach.
