So what am I up to now that we are done traveling? It involves books. Lots and lots of books.
I am preparing for the upcoming school year. Because we basically took the last 5 months off from serious schooling, we are in a transition period for the next few months. After that I will be homeschooling a 6th, 7th and 10th grader! Time sure does fly when you are having fun!
Since we are moving into middle school/high school we are rearranging and purging our classroom area. I need to be able to use one corner for my scrapbook area, so this means I need to change the configuration of the tables we use. I no longer need to sit right with the kids while they work. I do still need to use the white board so we moved it in a location that is perfect for us.
I am also purging an entire shelf of kids story/picture books. I cannot seem to part with them so I may box them up and put them in our garage…somewhere.
Speaking of garages. I just spent a marathon 2 days cleaning/rearranging. Picture a messy garage with no rhyme or reason. Tomorrow I hope to get pictures of it now a nice clean and usable space. (Still have to get the yard sale stuff out of here!)
Which brings me to my final news for tonight.
My son is permitted to drive with supervision! Watch out Stumptown!
That’s it for tonight. Once I get settled back into life (also known as when I quit organizing and reorganizing everything in sight) I will get back to blogging regularly. Going to be a fun year…I can just feel it!
