When we left Portland, OR we had one destination in mind: Portland, Maine. So 65 days later we crossed the state line. I had to chuckle at the End Road Work sign. I guess some things just don’t change when you cross the country.
We are staying outside of Belfast at a small and quiet little campground. One thing we discovered was that the beaches in Maine are private. So even though there were tide pools about 300 feet away, we couldn’t explore them because they belong to the inn next door and they enforce their “private beach.”
I am so happy that Oregon let’s the beach be for ALL the people!
It’s pretty here. But … Oregon is still the most beautiful place we’ve seen yet!
