HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
So, last night I came home after an afternoon of work to discover my crew went shopping. I was surprised. Valentine’s Day is hit or miss in our household. I love it when I get something, but it doesn’t bug if I don’t. So, because it wasn’t “THE” day, we waited for the morning.
I started my day with my yearly physical. What a romantic way to start the day…not! But, my new doctor is amazing and she was able to tell me that I’ve lost 7 whole pounds!! WHOOHOO! Of course, I was told that I must exercise 30 minutes a day. Ok, time to get moving. But she’s thrilled with my progress and happy that my eating is better.
After the appointment and its most unpleasant experience (shots and the female exam) I headed home. Happily the husband had the kids started on Bible. After a few minutes they took a break to give me my valentines. Wow. Spoiled!
The husband left me a sweet message how this is the ONLY puppy I’m getting this year. (Because he knows I want one and have been researching for a good breeder). The girls wrote me sweet love notes. The Boy? He simply wrote “Ditto.” Really? I teased him about it which only made him shrug. He just doesn’t get why a girl wants to hear “I Love You” anyhow. That’s going to change someday, but for now I will just relish the fact that I’m my ditto-pronouncing son’s only Valentine.
