This week the TOS Blog cruise answers the question: What’s the one thing you hope your children remember from their childhood?
I have thought about this question all day. Just what do I want my children to remember when they grow up and leave home?
Do I want them to remember the days spent together learning?
Do I want them to remember the gifts, the activities, the things I gave them?
Do I want them to remember the moments where I showed a little less patience than I should? (Please Lord, let them NOT remember those moments!)
Do I want them to remember the hours I spent with them, giving them the best I had?
Just what do I want them to remember?
I want them to remember the way it feels to walk along the Pacific Ocean in bare feet. To feel so small…yet so alive.
I want them to remember the wonder of seeing a new life. I want them to remember how it feels to hold something so fragile and feel the strength in protecting that fragile life.
I want them to remember the moments we spent together looking at the skies, always pointing them to their heavenly father.
I want them to remember they were encouraged to follow their dreams.
But really, when it comes to choosing just one thing…When they look back on their childhood memories, I hope they see they were loved.
So, now that I’m a weepy momma, how about seeing what my fellow crew members have to say?
