Screams interrupt my lunch break: “MOM!” “MOM!” “Come quick!” “HURRY!”
I run breathless expecting some major calamity. Praying. Hoping there is no blood, missing fingers or damaged yard.
“Mom, we need your camera.”
What? You scream for the camera?
“Mom, look it’s a caterpillar. Can we take pictures of it? Please?”
How can I say no to this cute of a face?
So, meet the newest addition to our zoo (which now includes 3 BABY Gardner snakes). This is fuzzy, Bella’s newest best friend.
Now I just have to identify it. Of course I can’t figure out where I put that brand new Insect book I just bought. Tomorrow, another trip to the library. I wonder how many books they limit me to.
Do you know how hard it is to get a caterpillar to stay still long enough for you to get your lens to focus? It’s a test in patience. I finally had to get on my belly and shoot from that angle.
He MAY be growing on me. I think. Maybe.
