Yesterday before I could even get my lesson plan started, Gabby had a plan. She announced a drawing contest. The rules were you had to draw something silly involving Skittles®**.
Gabby’s picture included narrating her story about Miss Lincoln who isn’t really Miss Lincoln. She pretends to be Miss Lincoln so she can steal Abe’s Skittles®. Where does this child get her imagination from?
The Boy is learning to draw hands. His picture is a hand picking Skittles® from a bowl. Pretty cool!
Bella’s drawing is of a Skittles® Monster. It has a ruler top hat and scissor body. It eats all the Skittles® in your house.
The Boy has been taking art lessons online from Mark Kistler. We joined Mark Kistler’s Online Video Art Academy this year through the Homeschool Buyers Co-Op. Get a 3-year Family Membership at a great discounted price!

I am happy my children disrupted my plans for their own plan. They are slowly beginning to show the eagerness to learn on their own!
What have your kids done lately?
